October in Sierra de Hornachuelos Natural Park, Spain

On a cloudy day, one hour drive from Cordoba, Spain in Sierra de Hornachuelos Natural Park (Parque Natural Sierra de Hornachuelos).

Grey heavy clouds were my companion. It will be raining in a few hours. But now I find nothing but dry grass and rocky sand under my feet. I parked the car and started to walk towards Sendero de los Angeles path. The smell of dryness in the air mixed with the smell of matured olives hanging on the branches. It feels like nature is waiting for rain. Silence and few birds. A man with a dog, a couple with kids, kayakers. As I sat down to eat my sandwich I thanked the Universe for my senses, my eyesight, my hearing. Grey heavy clouds stayed still and quiet.

“Nature is so powerful, so strong. Capturing its essence is not easy – your work becomes a dance with light and the weather. It takes you to a place within yourself.”

Annie Leibovitz

And when it was time I went to sit down for a coffee in Palma del Rio, twenty minutes drive away. Visited XVI century complex of Convento de Santa Clara and had a long conversation with Pedro about life transitions and Kraków. And when it was time – I left.
